Why are these characteristics important for agroecological transitions to sustainable food systems ? : A sound scientific knowledge would equip the agroecological approach with sound, evidence based reasons to balance the simplistic but effective arguments of conventional agriculture to maintain its superiority in ensuring high productivity.
